Roof Support System Steel Roof Layout


1. Housing support

Main functions:

To ensure the overall stability of the roof structure;

Strengthening the stiffness of the roof;

Strengthening the lateral stability of the roof;

To undertake and deliver the horizontal load of the roof;

Easy installation and construction of roof.

Roof - the main load-bearing structure of the roof.

Support is needed to connect the roof.Long house cover structure with horizontal support in the middle.

Lateral support -- the lateral supporting point of the roof string,

Reduce the calculation length of the string and reduce the forced vibration of the roof under the dynamic load.

The roof support will affect the wind load of the gable wall, the horizontal load of the suspension crane and the earthquake effect to the lower supporting structure of the house.

Steel roof mounting:

2. Roof support layout

Five kinds of roof support: horizontal horizontal support of upper string, horizontal horizontal horizontal support of lower string, horizontal vertical horizontal support, vertical support and tie.

Horizontal horizontal support of the upper string.

In the housing system, the horizontal horizontal support of the upper chord of the roof should be set up, including the horizontal horizontal support of the skylight frame.

2.Horizontal horizontal support of the lower string

Setting conditions:

Roof span > 18 m;

A large bridge crane or other vibrating equipment with large tonnage in the workshop;

The wall is supported by the wind column under the roof.

Setting position: the horizontal horizontal support of the lower string and the upper string should be in the same column, so as to form a stable space system.

 

3.Lower string longitudinal horizontal support

Setting conditions:

There is a heavy duty crane or a heavy lifting tonnage, light level working crane;

Large vibration equipment such as forging hammer;

The lower string of the roof is equipped with longitudinal or transverse lifting rails;

A bracket with an intermediate roof bracket and a neutral roof supported by columns;

The house is taller, the span is bigger, the space stiffness demands high.

Setting position: it is located in the lower chord of the roof, and the horizontal horizontal support of the lower string is used to form a closed supporting system to improve the overall rigidity of the roof.

4.The vertical support

Vertical support: the two adjacent roof truss form a space geometry invariant system to ensure the lateral stability of the effective member.

Location:

Set in the column between the horizontal support of the top string;

In the direction of the roof span, one or more can be set according to the form and span of the roof. 

Trapezoidal roof frame:

When the span is less than or equal to 30 m, a vertical support should be arranged in the vertical position of the vertical bar at the end of the roof.

When span > 30 m:

When there is no skylight, a vertical support shall be arranged in the vertical position of the vertical bar in the roof span of 1/3 and at both ends.

When there is a skylight, the vertical support should be arranged on both sides of the side column of the skylight frame.

Triangular roof frame:

When the span is less than or equal to 24 m, a vertical support shall be set in the plane of the cross-center rod.

When the span 24 m, two vertical support should be arranged according to the specific situation

When the roof is installed, a vertical support is set between 4 ~ 5 columns to keep the installation stable.

5.Tie bar

Tie function: to serve as the lateral supporting point of the lower chord of the roof, to ensure the lateral stability of the other roof without transverse support.

Tie rod: rigid tie and flexible tie.It can withstand the pressure of the rigid tie rod, can only bear the tension for the flexible tie rod.

Location:

In the upper chord plane, the purline and the large roof board can hold the rigid tie rod, thus the rigid tie rod can be set at the roof of the roof and the support node.

In the lower chord plane, the flexible tie rod can be set in the vertical support of the lower string of the roof.


The earthquake zone should be set according to the rules of earthquake resistance.

The form, calculation and construction of roof support

Form: roof support is generally a parallel chord truss form (FIG. 3-6).

The ventral rod is a cross - crossing form, usually used to support the horizontal and vertical horizontal and lower chord of the upper string (FIG. 3-7a).

Non-cross - inclined poles, string rods, vertical poles and rigid tie rod design can be used to form a cross - shaped or T - shaped cross section.

When the roof span is larger, the house is higher and the basic wind pressure is larger, the section of the rod should be determined according to the internal force calculated according to the truss system.Presumably focus on horizontal truss node under wind load, cross diagonal compressive bar exit in the work, only by rod bearing, in this way, the original statically indeterminate system simplified as statically determinate system .The W is horizontal nodal load, which is caused by wind load or crane load.

Node connection structure: simple and convenient.Angle steel support and roof are usually connected with c-level bolts, and bolts are used for M20.In the workshop with heavy duty crane or large vibration equipment, the welding seam should be installed in addition to the bolt, the weld length shall be greater than 80 mm and the size of the welding foot shall be greater than 6 mm.When the round steel is used for support, the basket bolt is used to tighten the round steel.
