Johannesburg, South Africa - Industrial Smelting Workshop
More than 5,000 tonnes of structural steel were fabricated for the reconstruction of an industrial smelting workshop. The package included heavy columns and crane girders, with individual column components weighing up to 30 tonnes and crane-girder design loads up to 120 tonnes. FSS performed fabrication, AWS D1.1 welding, UT and MT inspection, surface treatment and export packaging. Local erection was completed by the client's contractor, with remote technical support provided by FSS.
Ghana - Galvanized Portal-Frame Warehouse
FSS supplied approximately 1,000 tonnes of structural steel for a portal-frame warehouse project in Ghana. The confirmed scope covered steel detailing, portal-frame fabrication, hot-dip galvanizing, quality inspection and export packaging.
Qingdao, China - Large-Span University Gymnasium
This large-span roof reference used a 100 m structural span, primary trusses weighing approximately 80 tonnes each and an estimated total steel quantity of 2,800 tonnes. The work demonstrates large-truss fabrication, segmentation, delivery and site assembly coordination.

Q: Does FSS provide complete overseas installation?
A: Local erection is normally performed by the client's appointed contractor. FSS can provide agreed erection documentation and remote technical support, but site labor, equipment, safety management and local compliance remain with the responsible local parties unless a different scope is confirmed in writing.
Q: Can FSS work from drawings prepared by an overseas engineering company?
A: Yes. FSS can review the available design information for fabrication and detailing. The Engineer of Record or responsible local engineer retains authority for structural design approval, local code compliance and required professional stamping.
Q: Can material sections be optimized or substituted?
A: Possible alternatives can be reviewed when requested, but no material grade, section or connection change should be implemented without approval from the responsible project party.
Q: What inspection documents can be supplied?
A: The document package is defined by the purchase order and approved ITP. It may include material certificates, inspection records, NDT reports, dimensional records, coating records, packing lists and other agreed project documents.
Q: How should buyers send drawings?
